UPDATE: McMillen sues Itawamba School District, others after “fake” prom
ABERDEEN – A federal lawsuit seeking money for damages was filed today by a lesbian student thwarted in her attempts to attend her high school prom. Constance McMillen’s attorneys also ask the court to declare that her rights to freedom of expression were violated.

UPDATE: Lesbian Itawamba student presented with $30K scholarship
JACKSON — The lesbian high school student embroiled in a legal flap over her school’s prom policy was presented with a $30,000 scholarship on Friday when she appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
