What Makes A Family (Lesbian Film Based On a True Story) Part 8 of 8


Brooke Shields believes she has finally found happiness, now that she and her lesbian partner (Cherry Jones) have a child. But when Jones passes away five years later and her scheming parents apply for custody behind Shields’ back, an affecting struggle ensues.

    I’d never heard of this film and stumbled across it by accident, but it had me in floods of tears. Loved it and will be telling my girlfriend all about it when she gets home from work. This film fills me with hope for our future :-) x

    Oh my god. That was the most beautiful movie I have seen in a very long time…and also the first that has made me cry. Now, Im not a girly lesbian, but that had me in tears!I’ve been the child in a gay lesbian courtcase, and I really feel for Heather-thank buddha she got to live with her rightful-in all sense of the word-Mum Thank you for posting!!!

    I agree why are they stalling? Why? If it was a gay film about 2 men.Like Brokeback Mountain it would be all over the news,press, have all kinds of advertisements, and support.     Another great film. Thank you so much for posting. I can’t keep a dry eye watching this movie. I am so happy that this movie had a happy ending. (we love happy endings lol) It’s like a quote from our PK, “a waterfall starts with only one drop”. One step in the right direction.
