How can I legally marry my American lesbian girlfriend?

I’m a lesbian. And I’m French. I love my girlfriend and lately the idea that we should marry has been crossing my mind. It is very difficult to maintain a relationship when we live 1000s of miles apart from each other and we only meet a few months a year.
If you have any solution please help me!

and take it from there.
IF it doesnt work out while your living together then that proves you shouldn’t get married.
But if your one hundred percent sure you want to then you can get married in California.:))

U.S. Immigration rules require that a marriage consists of a male and a female, and both parties must have the appropriate “parts” to make it so. There must be the ability to consummate the marriage with the proper “parts”.
Until the law is changed, this is what you are dealing with right now.

You have to get married in California, but the fed government still refuses to recognize the marriage, so you might want to wait until we get a democrat in office who realizes that everyone should have equal rights and marriage is not only for a man and woman. Or maybe you could get married in France, I’m not sure of the rules there. Good luck, I’m sure it’ll happen if it’s meant to!

I’d suggest both of you moving to Canada or another likewise friendly to gay marriage country. If you’re going to be married, you want to be together. it’s gonna require at least one of you moving. Is there some compelling reason to keep you both from moving?
